One Goes Forward, Four Come Right Back

Hello All,
Human nature is fascinating to me - always has been. I am amazed by people, their thought processes, reactions, preconceived notions, and belief systems. We create friendships with people who have the same interests as we do. A significant other is usually someone that is on the same page as we are. Even our careers, passions, and motivations in life are all based on our box - how big it is, how far we are willing to go outside of it, what we are willing to put it in or keep from it. We set the stage for our lives, but many of us are not happy with what is being played out. Hmm, that's real talk.

My Nana use to say that when you point your finger at someone, their are four others pointing back at you! In other words, we all have mess going on in our lives. We all have things we need to work on in order to become the best of ourselves. How hypocritical we are pointing the finger at someone else's faults and shortcomings- knowing ours are probably a lot worse!!

Recently, I made a committment to become the best that I can be. For me, this journey starts with TRUTH. Simply being honest with myself about myself - everything on the inside and outside! It's a scary place that I have hid from for so long. However, in order to become the woman God intended, I have to take it there.
What is your TRUTH?

Anybody Got a Flashlight?

Hello All,
My Grandfather was always prepared for anything when I was growing up! Our basement was like a Wal-mart stockroom! Toilet paper, paper towels, soap, toothpaste, batteries, etc... filled the basement very orderly and exact. He never wanted the family to be without the essential things, and he always wanted to be prepared. It was always good to know that whatever you needed could be found downstairs in that basement!! Although Grandpa hooked us up with what we needed, we still had to be careful. The basement's steps weren't in very good shape, and the light was hard to reach. So, us kids knew better than to go down there without getting permission AND EVEN THEN we still had to be watched so that we wouldn't get hurt. Those were the days right! Having that constant protection, which we took for granted because we didn't know any better. I look back and know that I had everything I needed because Grandpa, Nana, and my Mom went before me to make provisions. Their love, care, and concern allowed me to see my way through the dark....and I wasn't even aware of it.

Is that not what God does for us? He goes before us making provisions and giving us everything we need - allowing us to be prepared. He paves the way for us, pouring out blessings, and watching over us. He turns on the flashlight so that we can see our way in the dark....providing that love and care that keeps us in perfect peace. Most of the time, we are not even aware of the things He is doing behind the scenes. He just shows up and shows out! All we can do is thank Him and continue to trust Him.

Grandpa, Nana, and Mom - I can still feel you working on my behalf. Thanks - I miss you and love you.

Be Blessed,
Archuleta

Wake Up

Hello All,

At one point in my life, I really thought I had it all figured out. I was walking in my purpose, had my dream home, friends who loved me, big goals and dreams. Then, one morning I woke up miserable as all get out. Nothing particular happened, but actually it had. Sometime during the night, when I was asleep, I decided to tell myself the truth. I wasn't fully walking in my purpose, my house was not a home, and some people I thought were my friends turned their backs on me. In addition, God revealed to me that my blessings were put on hold because I was being disobedient.

Wow, that sounds depressing doesn't it? I know right. If someone were to ask you right now if you were happy, how would you respond? Do you know what happiness looks like, how it's suppose to feel, and the maintenance program to sustain it? For most of us, it may take a while to answer those questions.

I use to wonder why I wasn't receiving what I asked for from God. I was going to church, paying my tithes, praying, fasting, and going up to the altar on Sunday morning. Well, there is always that one person we don't bother to pray for because we believe its a lost cause....they don't matter anyway, they did me wrong, this is not fair, I won't allow myself to hurt again....it is usually a relationship with someone that has brought harm to our soul. That unforgiving spirit starts to control every inch of your life, and prevents God from answering all your prayers. Trust me, I know.

The journey of forgiveness has begun for me, and the road will be rough. However, to be able to breathe again, live and love to full capacity, improve myself as a person therefore improving my relationships, walk completely in my purpose and be the woman I was meant to be....
PRICELESS.

Be Blessed,

Archuleta

Dear Devil

Dear Devil,
I am smarter than you and hereby relinquishing your services effective immediately. I am bringing in someone who is more qualified and take me to the next level. He's been here the whole time, but I only let Him handle certain projects. Now, he will be taking over completely. Please take your baggage and leave.

Sincerely,
Archuleta

The devil is such a liar and it's time that he goes completely. It's a matter of life and death, and that's real talk. Today is the day.

A Cause for Relentless Behavior

Hello All,
The weather is changing and you know what that means - COLD! Ugghh! I will take the warm weather any day over cold, icy weather. The thought of coats, cold ears, snow, ice, winterwizing the car....oh my goodness! So, you can tell I feel so strongly about this! LOL. On the flip side of this, the winter weather keeps me indoors. This allows me to spend more time with self by reading, writing, and meditating. In addition, it allows me to get close to myself and think things through. It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day hustle, that sometimes we can lose sight of what is important and what is good for us. When the weather is warm, we are too busy living it up and being out as much as possible.

At this particular point in my life, I am determined to focus on being happy. I know the things I need to do to get there, and I am not going to let anything or anyone stop me from receiving my happiness. Why not be relentless with our happiness! We are that way in our careers and other areas of life.....but let's get there about our well-being!

Winter is coming, are you ready? Good luck in your quest!

Pass It On

Hello All,
I was thinking about my childhood and how I was exposed to different types of foods. Because of that, there is not much that I will not eat! I notice that a lot of my friends are very picky eaters and some will not even look at a vegetable! They just were not exposed to it as a child, and its carried over into their adult life - now to their kids - and so on, and so on. What we are exposed to as children, carries us through our lives. It shapes our views & opinions, our values, and our belief system. It sets a framework for our relationships in life, and what we will and won't do. Take the time to open up the world for your children! They deserve it! They will appreciate it when they become adults and can pass that on through generations.
