Head Not the Tail

Hello All,
There is a Yoruba proverb that says: For no man can be blessed without the acceptance of his own head. The wise Africans knew and understood the power of the mind. People can only be as good as their thoughts, as successful as mental patterns, as progressive as their ideas. Africans did not rely on books, relative theories or quotations. They listened to their thoughts, prayed for divine guidance, followed intuition. Education, money, fame and notoriety were considered as useful as dirty dishwater without a clear, firm, focused mind. Their process was simple. They developed a strong faith and connection to God. A healthy love and respect for their ancestors and parents. A commitment and dedication to the traditions of their family. And a trusting relationship to the spirit of their own head. Trust your head and your first thoughts regardless of how it sounds. Your head takes you to the places you want to go.

Be Blessed,
Archuleta

  1. Very true. Even the Bible tells us not to act on emotion.
